Legendary Anime Studio Mappa Will Animate ‘Persona 4 Revival’ Cutscenes
Mappa, the studio responsible for the incredible, industry-leading animation in Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, is bringing its prodigious talents to Persona 4 Revival. And it’s not just doing an opening animation, like it did for Persona 5 Royal: Mappa will animate every in-game cutscene in the upcoming remake.

The studio announced this news at Anime Expo 2026, and also provided a sneak peek at a cutscene with protagonist Yu Narukami facing off against a Hablerie shadow.
